Gal Gadot as Wonder Women

  • Gal Gadot is not the real superhero. It is the is a woman walking right in front of you, maybe she is right now working in the kitchens or mopping the floor. Specifically, in India, they are supposed to toil day and night within the walls of the home, prepare food, take care of in-laws and then be called, “just-a-housewife.” No, I am sorry to bring this upon you, even she had dreams before your mother went looking for a girl who stays at home, takes care of family and “gharwali” type.

  • This is the reason why India needs more women entrepreneurs. I will give you some examples. Let's take Indu Jain, Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. She owns the     Times of India. There are online sites which are now run by the dynamic ladies like, Such Mukherjee owns, Limeroad; Richa Kar owns Zivame and Nykaa owner, Falguni Nayar.

Chanda Kochhar (Managing director and CEO of ICICI Bank)

  • Pepsico founder Indra Nooyi is the worldwide celebrated woman. Some big shot bank owners are eminent women, like Chanda Kochhar (ICICI Bank) and Naina Lal Kidwai (HSBC Bank). All these women play the vital role in empowering the future entrepreneurs.

  • Why should India have more women entrepreneurs?

  • ·Bringing down the male chauvinism- Why is there always an “alpha male”? Why can’t there be an “Alpha female”? A woman can work equally in an office as in the house. She can excel in management and finance as she does in cooking.

  • ·Being independent – That is the whole idea of working and being an entrepreneur. You are independent, working in own firm and your passion.

  • ·Introducing safety in work place- A woman-centric firm will always be safer than a male-centric. If a woman opens a firm and recruits only women, they will feel 100 times more safer.

  • ·Narrowing down gender gap- Still the thought of many families, that “our son” will outshine the name of the family. Sorry to say, but you are mistaken. Kalpana Chawla, Arundhati Roy, M S Subbulakshmi, Saina Nehwal, Rajeshwari Chatterjee etc, they were/are the daughters, and have not only outshined their family’s name but they are still shining in the world.

  • ·Inspiration- I read somewhere, “empowered women empower woman”. If you have started your own business, you may hire some of the other women. For an instance, if you start a boutique you can hire, the women living in rural areas, who get beaten up by their drunkard husbands everyday, who are considered good for only household chores and bearing them sons.

  • A lot of well-settled women entrepreneurs have already become role-model for the others. It seems that is still not enough, India should come forward with more of its “abla nari” expanding her empire like a queen without the needs of kings.
